Here are the updated Warhammer 40k Combat Patrol box values and pricing in our savings breakdown with the latest price increases.

We have all the up-to-date values and pricing for the lineup of Combat Patrol, Battleforces, and Vanguard boxes for Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar now that the Games Workshop price increases have hit to help you save those hobby dollars!

Take a look at the full line of Warhammer 40k Combat Patrol boxes, along with the units that have increased in value for 2023.

Updated Warhammer 40k Combat Patrol boxes Pricing & Values

So we’ve seen quite a few of these Combat Patrol box sets with value, but now the pricing is $160 with the recent price increases (up from $150 and $140 before that, respectively).

We hope for now that they will all stay at that price until the next increase of the full line happens.

Based on the pricing, it seems like Games Workshop gives about $50-$60 of value in their Combat Patrol boxes. However, as we’ll show you below, some have more than that, and some have less.

So, with the value and what’s in this, it’s hard to pass up. Overall, this is a pretty solid box and worth it for most new or seasoned DE players. This is definitely one of the most useful and desirable Combat Patrols they’ve come out with up to this point.

This doesn’t have the highest value we’ve seen, but pretty close to a lot of the boxes and still decent for the price. If you need the models inside, it saves you a decent amount of cash and will get you a lot of minis fairly cheaply.

Thousand Sons Combat Patrol:

The Thousand Sons one is pretty similar to the Hexfire box, so if you grabbed that one this might still have some value for you. It is a little strange just because it has so many Tzaangors and it’s basically the same as the Hexfire box but with 10 more Tzaangors added in.

The Grey Knights one is similar to the Hexfire box, so if you grabbed that one, this might still have some value. Because who doesn’t need more minis, and they switched out the Crowe for the Terminators. So some pretty decent stuff overall.

Following on from the events of Shadow Throne, the perfidious Genestealer Cultists and the Talons of the Emperor are mustering Combat Patrols to continue their respective missions across the Imperium. You’ll be able to prepare for these campaigns with Codex: Adeptus Custodes and Codex: Genestealer Cults, which are both packed full of thematic rules like devastating crossfire, and peerless battle stances.

If you need the Sisters models, this box is a good buy, but if not, it may be a pass. Let’s check out what this will save you:

This is a decent box with some good units but is very jetbike-heavy, so if you don’t want any in your army, this probably isn’t for you.

Still, we assume there will be decent value inside, but we’ll break it down below. Let’s see what value you can expect, but remember that the boxes have gone up $10 from the original $140. So we’ll use that as the price point.

Fortunately, the Norn-Queens have been hard at work splicing together a new Combat Patrol box, which is ideal whether you’re brand new to the Tyranids or have been on board since Hive Fleet Behemoth was first sighted.

The box actually has some useful units and minis inside, so this could be a good starting point for players. Let’s see what type of cash it will save you, though.

Honestly, though, the box has a decent mix of units inside that should be a good kicking-off point for new players. Plus, it seems to be a better force to build an army around when you compare it to something like the recent Thousand Sons box.

Chaos Daemons Combat Patrol:

The daemonic onslaught intensifies, with a Combat Patrol set focused on Khorne. Get the blood flowing with this hefty collection of 34 miniatures, which can be built to reach a Power Level of up to 33 and get you gaming straight away. This Combat Patrol-sized force is led by a fearsome Bloodmaster, ably supported by three Bloodcrushers mounted on Juggernauts, 10 slavering Flesh Hounds, and 20 Bloodletters – making a spectacular basis for a Khornate horde.

Now moving to more exclusively Daemon models, this new combat patrol is a great start for any fans of Khorne’s Daemonic forces. However, this one may not be for you if you’re not collecting skulls in your Daemon army.

It looks pretty similar to the Leagues of Votann army box with two main changes. First, they took out the second squad of warriors and the other character. Replacing that is 5 Berserks (including the mole cannon option).

Well, even at the new higher price, this has some really good value inside. It also has very useful units, and even if you bought the Cadia Stands box, you can always use more Cadians, and Sentinels!

While Chaos Space Marines are limited to a single Chaos Lord per Detachment, the World Eaters aren’t subject to such petty jealousy. They can field as many beast-bound Lords as their HQ slots allow, meaning you can muster the complete contents of two Combat Patrols – all without needing to spend any Command points on the new Heroic Support Stratagem.

Which of The 40k Combat Patrol Boxes Has the Best Pricing & Value?

If you look just at the numbers, the Sisters, Daemons, and GSC Combat Patrol boxes come out as winners based on pricing and value. But if you look at the units involved, the Drukahri really come out the winner there, with everything in the box being useful and included in almost every Kabal list.

The Death Guard box does have a ton of value, but it comes mainly in the form of Poxwalkers, so that is hard to gauge. It is the box for you if you want a lot of Poxwalkers.

The Deathwatch and Grey Knights Combat Patrol boxes are the clear loser on pricing and value. That’s because if you don’t need the characters, you basically get no real value.

But either way, they all save you some cash and get you a bunch of minis in one buy. So that’s pretty much all the Combat Patrol box value and pricing for your Warhammer army for the price increases.
