So, whether you’re tracking the latest pre-order announcements, checking out brand-new unit sculpts, or speculating on what reveals might be next, this roadmap has plenty to keep you on your toes.
Roadmap Timeline & Previews
The latest Star Wars Legion new release roadmap is here, bringing a galaxy of new unit cards, stunning painted miniatures, and future sculpts that will have you strategizing your next move. AMG showed what was on the way through early 2026, so there is plenty to look forward to from the latest AdeptiCon and Ministravaganza previews.
Star Wars Legion AdeptiCon 2025 Roadmap & Reveals
First up, there’s the organized play support. Free in-store kits, structured tournaments, and grand-level events are all rolling out, giving local communities better ways to keep games flowing. If your local store hasn’t jumped on board yet, now’s the time to nudge them.
Customizable Operatives & Commanders
One of the biggest releases this year is customizable characters for Legion! This means you don’t always have to have named characters, with this you can put yourself into the game, the kits have over 20+ parts, each pack can build two characters, there are tons of weapons heads, and bits, meaning you can really put yourself into the game.
Each weapon in the kit will have rules with doctrines. Basically, you can get into the nitty gritty and build the characters you want.
Card Packs & Essentials
Keeping track of unit upgrades and command cards in Star Wars: Legion has never been the smoothest experience. Between errata, reprints, and the occasional misprint hiding in a rulebook, finding the right cards can feel like a scavenger hunt. Atomic Mass Games is cutting through that mess with new card packs that put everything in one place.
Faction-specific Unit and Command Card Packs bring another layer of convenience. These sets compile every unit card, upgrade, and command option for a faction into a single box, making list-building way easier. If you’ve been playing for a while, this is the simplest way to make sure your army stays current without rebuying expansions.
For those not looking to add more physical cards to the collection, everything is also available as free downloadable files currently.
Starter Boxes
The community has been itching for a better way to introduce new players without the usual confusion of list-building, expansions, and rules scavenger hunts. Atomic Mass Games just answered the call with a set of Starter Boxes designed to make jumping in easier than ever, without forcing anyone into a half-baked army.
Plus, they revealed these will only sell for $95, meaning you can get a new player into the game for under $100!
Each box represents one of the four major factions—Empire, Rebels, Republic, and Separatists—featuring miniatures that actually fit together into a cohesive 600-point force. No more figuring out how to cobble a legal army out of random units.
It’s grab, assemble, play. Even better, the included models have brand-new hard plastic sculpts, so they’ll look sharper on the table and survive more than a few gaming nights.
You’ll find all the Star Wars: Legion rules online right here—yep, even the Recon Rules, which are perfect for armies this size. Less page-flipping, more pew-pew.
For veterans thinking, “Great, but what’s in it for me?” these boxes aren’t just for fresh recruits. They serve as a streamlined way to expand an existing collection, add extra units to a faction, or just get hands on those new sculpts. However, keep in mind that these won’t be dropping until the fall, so there is still some time to wait before you can get your hands on them.
Re-issues & New Expansion Sets
Let’s talk new boxes—because there’s a lot of plastic goodness coming your way.
First up: the ARC Troopers are getting a reworked box! It’s been tweaked to be way more practical if you’re buying multiples—less duplicate characters, more value. Your wallet and your army list will thank you.
But let’s be real, the showstopper here is General Grievous on a Wheel Bike. Yes, the spinning death machine is finally rolling onto the battlefield.
And he’s not riding solo—you’ll also be able to pick up a box of Personal Wheel Bikes to back him up and crash through enemy lines like it’s rush hour on Mustafar.
Then we’ve got Imperial Probe Droids coming in hot. Classic, creepy, floaty—what’s not to love? It’s about time these spy-bots got their due.
Next on deck: Imperial High Command. All the iconic characters you need to bring the full weight of the Empire down on those scrappy rebels. It’s like a boardroom meeting, but with more lasers.
Oh, and speaking of iconic—how about Han Solo and Luke Skywalker on Tauntauns? I mean, come on. It doesn’t get more classic than that. They’re cool, they’re furry, and now they’re tiny and on your tabletop.
The Heroes of the 501st box is also bringing some serious heat, with glorious resculpts of Obi-Wan and Anakin. These sculpts? Chef’s kiss.
Now, pirates! The Weequay Pirates box lets you build the legend himself—Hondo Ohnaka—or go with a more generic pirate commander if you want to mix things up. It won’t hit shelves until 2026, but it’s shaping up to be worth the wait.
And last but definitely not least, the WLO-5 Speeder Tank is rolling in to support those pirate crews. It’s big, it’s mean, and it’ll make sure no one underestimates the Weequay again.
