1st Place: Brad Chester, Eldar (Aeldari) Army Lists
When the Eldar show up in force, things die fast, objectives vanish, and someone inevitably mutters, “Wait, they can do that?” At the Salt City GT IV, that someone was every other player who didn’t bring this winning list of high-speed, soul-powered chaos.
Leading the space elf circus were two Autarchs, Fuegan, Jain Zar, and Lhykhus. That’s not a command structure, that’s a museum exhibit of ancient death. Fuegan turned armor into slag, Jain Zar danced through melee like she was late to a Craftworld gala, and Lhykhus… well, Lhykhus just did what Phoenix Lords do best: show up and ruin everything.
The backbone came in the form of two units of Corsair Voidreavers. Cheap, flexible, and stylish, perfect for holding ground and looking good while doing it. One Wave Serpent offered some early-game protection and fast delivery for whoever needed to get loud, quick.
Two units of Dark Reapers deleted targets from across the board, while two squads of Fire Dragons torched anything that thought it was safe in a tank.
Need melee? That’s what the Howling Banshees were: two units of wailing banshee fury that hit hard and hit first.
Rangers brought some sneaky utility camping objectives, screening, or reminding opponents that yes, Eldar still have tricks up their elegant sleeves.
Then came the mobility. Two units of Swooping Hawks flitted across the board like laser-tag angels. Two units of Warp Spiders blinked in, ruined your day, and blinked right back out again.
2nd Place: Travis King, Death Guard Army Lists
3rd Place: Ari Chang, Drukhari (Dark Eldar) Army Lists
Final Thoughts on Army Lists
Overall, at Salt City GT IV, the Aeldari danced, the Death Guard refused to die, and the Drukhari showed up like chaos gremlins on speed. From chasing your next podium finish to looking at winning game night at your shop, these lists are worth a good, long stare.
Copy them? Maybe. Learn from them? Definitely.
Either way, it’s proof that even in the middle of balance tweaks and point shifts, smart list-building and clever play still win games.
