We thought these would be coming out right around the release of the Blood Angels, and not to toot our own horn, but toot, toot! Let’s dive into the box.
Instructions and Sprues
Just keep in mind, this is a multi-part kit and not fully push-fit. The real question is, is this worth it to pick up if you already got the Indomitus box? We’ll just have to see!
They have four different poses and not quite the traditional poses for Primaris. Nothing looks too crazy for a multi-part sprue in terms of build. You do get a decent amount of extra bits in the way of little additions like books, scrolls, and pouches. They even give you some ideas on which poses look the best with which options. No real Gothchas jump out at us from the instructions.
For the sprues, you get two identical sets of sprues, so four in total. One set of sprues contains all the sergeant stuff and the extra pieces. Including the heads and special weapon options. They also come with two different styles of shoulder pads, one raised and one normal.
Indomitus Comparisons
When compared to the Indomitus box, the push-fit ones almost look more dynamic. Interesting…
Completed Minis
Here is the dressed up sergeant from the new kit. Looks pretty great, but doesn’t seem as dynamically posed as the Indomitus mini. With the push-fit kit, you almost don’t have to trim anything, whereas in this kit you do. He’s kind of flat, to be honest, and with way more strange angles.
Size Comparisons
The only real bonus of this kit is the special weapons. Other than that, the Indomitus guy looks way more dynamic. And let’s be honest, who would you follow into battle? Obviously, the dude flying forward! Overall Rob thinks the minis from the Indomitus box are easier to build and better looking.
