This has been quite the insane time for Horus Heresy since 2023, with a new edition, a giant starter set, battle group bundles, updated designs in plastic, a new roadmap, and a constant stream of new resin miniatures.

New Horus Heresy Traitor Overseer
Overseers were experienced Space Marines promoted to manage mortal auxiliaries during the Horus Heresy. Loyalist Overseers were all about inspiring their troops, leading from the front with impressive power mauls and speeches that stirred the hearts of their human allies.
Traitor Overseers, on the other hand, took a much darker approach. These guys didn’t bother with speeches—they used fear. See all the details on the new preview here!
Legion Overseers
On the Great Crusade, the Legiones Astartes marched into battle alongside legions of Solar Auxilia and Imperial militia—human troops who, while giving it their all, simply couldn’t match the Emperor’s superhuman gold standard.
But as the bloody grind of the Horus Heresy wore on and the casualty lists grew, these regular folks found themselves more and more under Space Marine command. That’s where the Overseer Consuls came in, tasked with turning these mixed teams into something that resembled a functioning army.
Both Loyalists and traitors used these Consuls, but their motivational styles were… let’s say, very on-brand. Loyalists tended to lean on rousing speeches and dramatic gestures, often leading from the front with power mauls gleaming heroically through the smoky haze of war.
The latest Forge World resin miniature version spares no effort to show this off, with ornate trim, an imposing back banner, and even a choice of laurel-crowned helmets—whether you prefer the faceplate or the flowing locks look.
Iron Hands Legion Praetor
Iron Fathers, the elite commanders of the Iron Hands, are master artisans dedicated to creating ever-more efficient and destructive tools of war. For them, function triumphs over form—a philosophy passed down from the Gorgon himself—as they fuse flesh with machinery in their relentless quest for power.
This new praetor exemplifies their craft, clad in finely wrought Artificer armor and armed with a crushing power fist, a grav pistol, and a servo-arm array built for battle. Perched on his shoulder is a cyber-familiar, a wired haemonculite synced to his neural network, acting as a second set of eyes and reflexes to keep him one step ahead of enemy strikes.
Iron Warriors Warsmiths
There are two awesome versions of this miniature. One is standing there, taking in the battlefield like he’s about to wage war on his own fortifications. The other version shows him moving forward with purpose, hammer in hand, ready to get to work.
Just a heads up, that second version will only be available at Warhammer World! These Iron Warriors Warsmiths are made from Forge World resin and will be up for grabs soon.
Caster of Runes: Legion Consul for the Space Wolves
The Caster of Runes is a distinctive Legion Consul for the Space Wolves, channeling mysterious Fenrisian rituals to harness an ethereal power he steadfastly claims isn’t drawn from the Warp but from the primal heart of Fenris itself.
Decked out in armor and wargear inscribed with intricate runes and shamanistic relics, he embodies this belief with unshakable conviction. Looks like GW avoided their most memed Warhammer product and didnt give him the Doggo helmet head.

GW Brings Dark Mechanicum Models to Warhammer
The introduction of these new models into Legions Imperialis is a moment to remember. Until now, the Dark Mechanicum has mainly been hinted at in lore, with only a few models and mentions scattered across various books and campaigns.
The Serperaos Overlord Heavy Stalker
The first model of this new faction to be unveiled is the Serperaos Overlord Heavy Stalker. This new unit showcases the Dark Mechanicum’s sinister blend of arcane machinery and dark, chaotic energy.
Stalker Constructs
The Serperos ‘Overlord’ Heavy Stalker was just the beginning. Now, meet its deadlier cousins: the Tennebrax ‘Archer’ Battle Stalker Cohort and the Errax ‘Butcher’ Assault Stalker Cohort. They work best together, with the Archers setting ’em up and the Butchers knocking ’em down.
Harpax Swarmers: Chaff with a Nasty Bite
The Stalker Constructs box includes 30 models, with eight Harpax ‘Swarmer’ Scout Hosts, as well as two of each Errax, Tenebrax, and Scintillax for variety. Meanwhile, the Serperos ‘Overlord’ Heavy Stalkers box comes with four hulking models and includes the necessary terminals to field Errax, Tenebrax, Scintillax, and Serperos in Adeptus Titanicus.
Scintillax ‘Cyclops’
The leader of the deadly automatons is the Scintillax ‘Cyclops’. This advanced machine processes information at a dizzying speed, issuing orders to keep all the other machines operating like a hive mind. Under its control, formations of Stalkers and Swarmers become even more efficient, turning chaos into coordinated destruction.
Final Thoughts On Horus Heresy Roadmap For 2024-25
From the looks of it, Games Workshop has some exciting plans for Horus Heresy from 2023 all the way into 2024-25, including new plastic kits, resin miniatures, and previews roadmap of upcoming releases. With so much on the horizon, it’s hard not to be excited for what’s to come.
