Games Workshop previewed another Kill Team box, and this one throws Space Wolf Scouts against T’au Stealth Battlesuits in a cloak-and-dagger showdown they’ve dubbed Dead Silence.

This is in addition to the two new sets coming out in 2025 and 2026 for a rumored Grey Knights vs. World Eaters boxSisters vs Night Lords, and the Necron Nightbringer himself.

Let’s break down what’s actually in play here and the value inside.

Kill Team Dead Silence: Release Date, Contents, Pricing & Value

No time to read? Let your favorite LLM summarize this article for you.

Updated on November 13th, 2025, by Rob Baer with pricing, values, new 40k rules, and release date

Kill Team Dead silenceThe box features plenty of new models, but unlike most Kill Team boxes, it really doesn’t have much else. No terrain, some datacards, and a mission book that seemingly requires the Tomb World Terrain. Still, the minis are great and have value on their own.

The new Kill Team Dead Silence release date is November 22nd, 2025. When it comes to pricing, the Kill Team Dead Silence retail price is $112.

40k Kill Team Dead Silence Battleforce Contents:

  • Two brand-new Kill Teams:
    • T’au XV26 Stealth Battlesuits with support roles like Neutralisers, Liberators, and Lodestars.
    • Space Wolf Scouts, complete with plasma guns, frost-bladed gear, and even a Rune Priest Skjald throwing around storm sorcery.
  • The Dead Silence Dossier Book: rules, lore, background for both teams, and the new campaign system.
  • Campaign Pads: hex-map sheets and logbooks for recording progress in Ctesiphus Expeditions.
  • Datacards, tokens, and transfers for each faction.

What doesn’t appear to be in the box? Terrain. The promo photos use the Necron Tomb World Terrain Set from the last release, but you don’t actually get that in the box.

Kill Team Dead Silence 40k Rules

Wolf ScoutsWolf Scouts and T’au Stealth Suits both fill that sneaky troublemaker niche, but they go about it in wildly different ways.

The Wolves creep up with Infiltrators and Scouts, lob a haywire mine at something expensive, and stack plus one to wound on any poor fool who wanders too far from their buddies.

Tau Stealth Suits 40k rulesStealth Suits, on the other hand, glide onto the table like they took the scenic route (but still infiltrate), packing Stealth, burst cannons, and the all-important homing beacon that drops reinforcements exactly where your opponent least wants them.

Final Thoughts From Us: Kill Team Dead Silence

Space Wolves Scouts

Kill Team Dead Silence looks slick, and definitely earns its name with that “blink and you missed it” amount of terrain, aka, none.

What you’re really getting here is a cheaper, faster way to grab both Space Wolf Scouts and T’au Stealth Teams before they show up on their own.

But if you can’t find a buddy to split the box with, it’s probably smarter to wait until each team hits shelves solo. You’ll skip the extra packaging and get exactly what you want without paying for half a faction you’ll never paint.

If you’re all about the models, this box is a solid deal. You’ll save a few bucks grabbing them early, and both teams are versatile enough to pull double duty in Kill Team or Warhammer 40k.
