GW’s new Warhammer rumor engine preview has a set of chains and cuffs, but it’s not marked for any particular faction, so what is it from?
Here’s the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be! Whatever the case, we can’t wait to see what Games Workshop has in store when it’s finally revealed.

New Rumor Engine Preview: November 18th, 2025
This new rumor engine is clearly a set of chains and cuffs, making all the typical evil-doers likely. However, the uniformity and cuff shape might suggest it’s not Destruction or Orks, and instead a more “sophisticated” race like Dark Aelves/Dark Eldar or Helsmiths of Hashut.
Another big option is just some terrain, possibly one with dungeon-like scenery?
Chaos Dwarves (Helmiths of Hashut) famously take prisoners and use “forced labor”. So, as far as a faction with the tech to make clean chains and need cuffs, they are a clear option!
Otherwise, Chaos and specialist games have plenty of potential too! Either way, this is a rumor engine with tons of possible options; it will be cool to see the future mini!
