New Space Wolves Army Set

Games Workshop just dropped news at AdeptiCon 2025 about the Space Wolves Army Set, and it’s packed tighter than a longship full of ale and chainblades. This box has fresh miniatures, a new codex with art dripping Fenrisian vibes, and enough bite to keep your pile of shame company for a while. Plus, they gave away a free miniature at the preview as well.

Blood Claws

Forget patience. Blood Claws are Space Wolves recruits who skipped the stealth and went straight to stabbing. Instead of hanging back like Scout squads from other Chapters, these guys charge first and think second, if at all.

Grey Hunters

Once the Blood Claws calm down a bit—and survive—they become Grey Hunters. These are your flexible, middle-ground troops. Lighter bolt carbines let them shoot on the move while they close in for the kill.

Think of them as the Swiss Army knife of Fenris. They’re not flashy, but they’re efficient, and the new models look like they’ve seen a few campaigns without losing their edge.

Wolf Guard Headtakers

This might be the flashiest new unit. Wolf Guard Headtakers are elite veterans who charge headfirst into danger, often with a snarling wolf by their side. They bring the heat in Terminator armor, and their look is pure Space Wolves energy.

Wolf Guard Battle Leader

He’s got the vibe of a Lieutenant with the attitude of a pack leader. The Wolf Guard Battle Leader brings some serious tactical flexibility and plenty of style. Multiple loadout options mean you can tailor him to your playstyle—whether you need extra melee punch or buffs.

Warhammer 40k 2024 Roadmap: Wolf Priest

Forget the clean-cut Chaplains of other Chapters. Wolf Priests combine the roles of healer and spiritual guide while shouting saga quotes mid-fight through a skull-shaped helmet. They look intense—and that’s the point.

Codex: Space Wolves

The updated Space Wolves Codex in the Army Set has everything: background lore, datasheets for 20 unique units, and some serious Fenrisian flavor. It’s the first place to get your hands on it, complete with exclusive art on the cover.

Death Guard New Lord of Poxes & Codex

When a Death Guard champion climbs high enough on the festering ladder of rank, they don’t just get a pat on the back—they adopt one of the Mantles of Corruption. These grim honors, Mortarion’s twisted brainchildren, embody different filthy flavors of warfare, complete with their own grotesque wargear.

You’ve probably already seen the Lords of Virulence and Contagion in action, but now the Lords of Poxes are here to join the party (and it looks like the leaks were true). Armed with a miasmic turbine (because why not?), these rusty contraptions of whirring blades and sputtering engines churn out clouds of airborne contagion to spread the love—or the plague.

Nurgle’s children are back with six disgusting detachments in the new Codex: Death Guard. Whether you’re building a slow-moving tide of plague or a more elite force centered around the Lord of Poxes, there’s plenty of variety packed in here.

Thousand Sons Deploy Sekhetar Robots & New Codex

Tzeentch has ditched subtlety for spectacle, introducing the Sekhetar Robots. These ancient machines are covered in spells and illusions, making them hard to pin down until it’s too late. Arcane weapons? Check. Hellfyre missiles? Absolutely.

The Codex: Thousand Sons includes rules for Flamers, Screamers, Pink Horrors, Blue Horrors, and of course, your favorite feathered chaos lords—Kairos Fateweaver and the Lord of Change. Five detachments offer flexibility, but the star of the show might just be those new robots. They’re flashy, deadly, and very on-brand.

Slaughterbound Arrives With New WE Codex

Khorne’s not subtle, and neither is the new Slaughterbound. Think Eightbound, but even more angry. This towering brute has let a full-on Bloodthirster shack up in his soul, because apparently, regular rage just wasn’t cutting it.

The new Codex: World Eaters is soaked in lore, blood, and rules. With daemonic units like Bloodletters and Bloodthirsters now integrated directly into the Codex, Khornate armies can field chaos demons and berserkers in one of five unique detachments. You want carnage? You got it.

Grey Knights Codex Update & Nemesis Dreadknight

Ah, the Grey Knights. The secret sauce of the Imperium. Psychic, shiny, and surprisingly chatty for demon-hunters.

The new Codex refresh includes updated profiles, lore updates, and a reworked Nemesis Dreadknight—complete with fresh weapon options like the Nemesis Flail and Nemesis Mace. These aren’t just cosmetic swaps. The Flail adds swingy crowd control, while the Mace is your go-to if you want to turn Greater Daemons into chaos puddles.

Warhammer 40k 2024 – 2025 Roadmap Armageddon Crusade Book

The planet Armageddon has seen more wars than Forge World has recasts, and now it’s under siege from Angron himself. The new campaign book brings 43 pages of narrative meat—no filler, no fluff. Just good old-fashioned daemon-bashing, Grey Knights heroics, and desperate last stands.

Slaanesh’s Fabulous Flex: New Fulgrim Primarch Model

Perhaps the most exciting—and most highly speculated—new release is Fulgrim, the Daemon Primarch of the Emperor’s Children.

Fans have been clamoring for a plastic Daemon Fulgrim model for years, and now Games Workshop has created what could be one of their most impressive models to date.

If there’s one thing Fulgrim knows, it’s how to make an entrance. When a Primarch decides to go full Daemon, you can bet it wouldn’t be subtle.

Lords Kakophonist: The Sonic Overload

Hell’s Last Enter the Fray: Release Date March 8th, 2025

Kill Team: Typhon

Kill Team Wrecka Krew: (Release Date April 5th, 2025)

Also arriving separate from Kill Team Brutal and Cunning, this box includes six Wrecka Krew miniatures, each built for destruction. Assemble them as various specialists like the Boss Nob, Demolisha, Krusha, or Rokkiteer, and don’t forget the two Bomb Squigs who are just itching to go boom.

Tempestus Aquilons: (Release Date November 21st, 2024)

When the Militarum Tempestus drop in, they don’t come quietly. The Tempestus Aquilons – a new breed of Scions – make a point of entering the battlefield like human thunderbolts. Unlike their more terrestrial kin, these warriors hurtle into the fray on grav-chutes, storming enemy lines with all the subtlety of a chainsword to the face.

Hagthor Jarlun and Aster Felsturn

Sha’dar hunters: (Release Date March 29, 2025)

The Ash Wastes Sha’dar Hunters Nomads are staking their claim in the harshest environments imaginable. Now, if you’re looking to add some tactical flair—and a bit of venomous bite—to your gang warfare, these desert dwellers might just be your ticket to the ultimate gang showdown. 

Weapons & Upgrades: (Release Date March 29, 2025)

The Nomads’ gear is a mix of salvaged tech and organic horror. Their close-combat weapons, coated in venom, can incapacitate foes faster than you can say “game over.” For heavier engagements, the upcoming plastic weapons and upgrades kit brings more options to the table.

Arthromite Spinewyrms: (Release Date March 29, 2025)

If the weapons weren’t scary enough, the Nomads also tame Arthromite Spinewyrms—massive mutant beasts with a penchant for destruction. These burrowing terrors can punch through dunes, rock, and even armor.

Tribes of the Wastelands Supplement: (Release Date March 29, 2025)

With the release of Necromunda: Tribes of the Wastelands, the Ash Waste Nomads are leveling up in a big way. This expansion introduces:

The Soulblight Gravelords are introducing new features that improve their ability to control the battlefield and enhance their necromantic magic. The Cursed Sepulchres are key to this update. These structures act as centers for death magic, helping necromancers summon their Soulblight Gravelord troops more easily.

Each kit includes three mausoleum-like structures that can be set up in various ways, including an open-roof version. Plus, if you have a Nighthaunt army, you can also build these as the Nexus of Grief.

Three powerful new spectral constructs join the Soulblight Gravelords:

• Hand of Nagash- This spectral claw can slash enemies or freeze them in place, reducing their movement. It’s useful to stop threats before they can act.
• Unholy Reliquary- This construct allows heroes to heal or boost their attacks. It helps keep important characters in the fight or increase the damage of strong warriors.
• Sanguine Swarm- A swarm of vampiric bats that attack and drain the enemy’s vitality. The swarm has two parts that must stay close together, but they can attack separately, which can annoy your opponent.

These new features give Soulblight Gravelord players more options in battles. You can disrupt enemy movement, boost your heroes, or launch fast attacks with these constructs. 

Blades of the Hollow King Box Brings these Vampires to Un-life!

The Barrow Kingdoms are marching once more in this preview, but this time, they bring along some particularly well-known figures from Black Library fiction. Cado Ezechiar, the Hollow King, and his formidable allies step from the pages of Warhammer Age of Sigmar novels onto the battlefield, ready to carve a bloody path in the Mortal Realms.

So, Games Workshop finally did it — Grand Cathay has stormed into Warhammer: The Old World with a battalion box full of dragons, jade-armored badasses, and artillery that literally breathes fire. Yeah, it’s that kind of energy. 

Cathay Battalion Box 

Grand Cathay is the first all-new army built from the ground up for Warhammer: The Old World. This isn’t a resurrection of an old fan favorite — it’s a full-on introduction. We’re talking about immortal dragons, philosophical balance, and a war machine that looks like it came out of a mythical history book written by Sun Tzu after a few drinks.

The core box gives you 50 plastic miniatures that make up a fully playable, battle-ready force. Here’s what you’re working with:

• 30 Jade Warriors (the backbone, built tough and stylish)
• 10 Jade Lancers (heavily-armored cavalry with some real kick)
• 2 Artillery Pieces (your choice of the Cathayan Grand Cannon or Fire Rain Rocket Battery)

Jade Warriors

Most core troops are built to die well. Jade Warriors? They’re built to hold the line with style. Clad in ornate armor and wielding halberds or sword-and-shield combos, these troops don’t just survive — they dig in and refuse to move.

Jade Lancers

Fast cavalry that hits like a truck? Yes please. Jade Lancers are recruited from among the Jade Warriors — meaning they’re already seasoned before they even get their mount. These aren’t delicate flanking units. They were trained for close quarters in Cathay’s narrow alleyways and bridges, so when they hit the open field, they go full tilt.

Cathayan Grand Cannon & Fire Rain Rocket Battery

Now we’re into the fun stuff — artillery. The Grand Cannon is your precision hitter, styled to look like a dragon and designed to ruin someone’s day. Then there’s the Fire Rain Rocket Battery — less accurate, more “watch the sky explode.”

Shugengan Lord on Great Spirit Longma

Cathay doesn’t just bring the muscle — it brings the magic. The Shugengan Lords are part-dragon commanders who wield martial arts and elemental sorcery in equal measure. Put one on the back of a Great Spirit Longma (think: flying beast with talons and antlers), and you’ve got a hero who can control the flow of battle and look majestic doing it.

Gate Masters

The Gate Masters of the Celestial Cities are your tacticians, hardened vets who’ve earned command through a decade of defense. They see the battlefield like a chessboard — and they play to win. If you’re into precision positioning and battlefield control, these are your guys.

Sky Lanterns

Sky Lanterns are floating command centers powered by Vermilion Warbirds (which is such a Warhammer name). They hover above the battlefield, relaying orders, sniping targets, and dropping bombs on anyone who gets too close.

Cathayan Sentinels

Nothing says “don’t mess with us” like a city guarded by giant statues that come to life when trouble shows up. Cathayan Sentinels are part statue, part magical WMD. They’re made from jade, terracotta, and even warpstone — each material giving them different abilities.

Miao Ying, the Storm Dragon

Here’s the big name: Miao Ying. She’s not just a general — she’s a dragon. Literally. The eldest daughter of the Dragon Emperor, Miao Ying is both a deadly mage and a brutal combatant. She’s got centuries of experience, and now she’s left Cathay to clean up the mess in the Old World.

Her model shifts between human and dragon form, and she leads with the calm rage of a storm about to break.

Cathay Arcane Journal

If you like your tabletop with a side of lore, the Arcane Journal: Armies of Grand Cathay has you covered. It’s 48 pages of background, rules, magic items, and the twin Lores of Yin and Yang — which aren’t just flavor, they actually impact your spellcasting strategy.

The Beastmen Brayherds Are Back

The Beastmen Brayherds Battalion is stomping its way out of the dark forests with a Battalion box that’s all about brute force and overwhelming numbers. Sixty-one miniatures in total — 30 Ungors, 30 Gors, and a Cygor or Ghorgon big enough to ruin anyone’s day.

If that wasn’t enough, there’s the Arcane Journal: Beastmen Brayherds, a 48-page guide loaded with lore, rules, two new Armies of Infamy (Wild Herds and Minotaur Blood Herds), spell lists, and special characters. It even breaks down their language because, apparently, grunting in Chaos dialects is a thing now.

And yep, returning plastic kits means your Gors, Ungors, Bestigors, and Minotaurs all get their time in the spotlight again. You also get those lovingly remastered resin monstrosities: Ghorgons, Cygors, Jabberslythes, and even the Preyton, which sounds like a fantasy Pokémon, but it’s actually horrifying.

Wood Elves Bring the Forest Fury

The new Wood Elf Realms Battalion gives you 62 miniatures: 32 Glade Guard, 20 Wild Rangers, 10 Wild Riders — all with alternate builds (Deepwood Scouts, Eternal Guard, Sisters of the Thorn).

The Arcane Journal: Wood Elf Realms is your rulebook bible here. It’s basically the total package for anyone looking to get serious about building or refreshing a Warhammer Wood Elf army.

Plastic or metal, these returns are loud. Araloth is back in plastic, leading the charge. Orion returns in metal, which feels just right — a forest god deserves a little weight. Alongside them, the usual suspects: Nobles on mounts, Mages, Waystalkers, Treemen, Warhawk Riders, and the still-dancing Wardancer Troupe.

There’s even a Beast Pack from 1987 lurking somewhere in the underbrush — four elves and their animal companions that have gone full cryptid and somehow avoided the camera.

Sure, they could spend their days lounging in opulent castles and sipping fine wine, but that’s not their style. And when it comes to dragon-slaying, Sir Cecil Gastonne is the man for the job. Games Workshop finally unveiled his upcoming miniature and it looks great! 

Unlike many Bretonnian lords who prefer the saddle, Sir Cecil is known for fighting on foot. This makes him a natural leader for regiments of Foot Knights, rallying his troops as horseback lords thunder across the battlefield. See all the details and rules in our coverage here!

Knights Panther, Harald Gemunsen: Released January 18th, 2025

Remember that old-school Grand Master of the Knights Panther mini that was just leaked? Well, the new Harald Gemunsen figure definitely takes a page out of that classic book. And guess what? You’ll have the chance to snag the original (probably as MTO) when the Empire of Man range drops!

This guy pairs up with any valid Empire of Man army, but he really shines in the Knightly Order Army of Infamy, which lets you craft an army based around one of those legendary Knightly Orders. Plus, he’s made from Forge World resin and will be up for pre-order before you know it!

Empire Wizards: Released January 18th, 2025

Speaking of wizards, let’s check out these three magical misfits and their oddball sidekicks. First up is a Battle Wizard rocking Middenheim’s colors with a gnomish familiar that looks ready to burst under its own baggage. That whiff of Azyr magic? Definitely not subtle.

Next, there’s the Elementalist with a toad assistant, channeling the wild vibes of Ghyran and Ghur. If “nature magic” had a poster child, this duo would be it.

Last but not least, we’ve got a Necromancer. But don’t freak out—she’s one of the good ones, using the Wind of Death for the greater good. Her skeleton familiar might be a bit… vertically challenged, but hey, who’s judging?

Get ready to add a little arcane flair to your collection, these magical characters (and their quirky familiars) will hit the shelves in 2025, crafted from Forge World Resin and sold individually.

General Hans von Löwenhacke has made a career out of marching to the beat of many different drums—sometimes all within the same lifetime. A seasoned tactician, he’s fought under nearly every major banner across the Empire, from Middenland to Osterlund, proving that loyalty to strategy often trumps loyalty to a single flag. 

The lowdown on Nuln’s rules is coming your way in the upcoming Arcane Journal: Empire of Man. And if you’re looking to get your hands on the general, he’ll be strutting his stuff in Forge World resin. 

Frydaal The Chainmaker: Released January 18th, 2025

Unleash some Chaos with Frydaal the Chainmaker, your go-to Exalted Champion for any Chaos army—she’s like the perfect accessory that goes with everything! She really hits her stride in the Wolves of the Sea Army of Infamy. You can check out her rules and the details for her raiding crew in the Arcane Journal: Warriors of Chaos. And guess what? Burlok Damminson Gets a New Resin Model For the Old World: Released January 18th 2025

Dwarf Engineers might just be the Old World’s top tinkerers, though they’re often stifled by the Engineering Guild’s obsession with “the old ways.” But every now and then, a young genius breaks the mold—and a few beards—by proving innovation is worth the risk. Case in point: Burlok Damminson.

This up-and-comer has pushed Dwarf engineering further than anyone thought possible, and his latest rendition, crafted in Forge World resin, is finally here.

While they didn’t say when this Exalted Hero of Chaos from the 2009 Games Day would be making a return, they did tease a little more about all the other exclusive models returning.

Grand Cathay & Kislev Miniature Releases

When it comes to enjoying Fantasy Warhammer, it sometimes feels like the physical tabletop gets left in the dust. Games Workshop has released an update for those with the Shadows of Change DLC for Total War: Warhammer 3, discussing Grand Cathay and Kislev faction updates.

Unfortunately, they dropped a little reminder for Old World players, which may be a bit disappointing. In May 2020, Games Workshop released an update on Kislev for Warhammer the Old World, but we haven’t seen much since.
