New Space Wolves Army Set

Space Wolves Army BoxGames Workshop just dropped news at AdeptiCon 2025 about the Space Wolves Army Set, and it’s packed tighter than a longship full of ale and chainblades. This box has fresh miniatures, a new codex with art dripping Fenrisian vibes, and enough bite to keep your pile of shame company for a while. Plus, they gave away a free miniature at the preview as well.

Blood Claws

Blood ClawsForget patience. Blood Claws are Space Wolves recruits who skipped the stealth and went straight to stabbing. Instead of hanging back like Scout squads from other Chapters, these guys charge first and think second, if at all.

Grey Hunters

Grey HuntersOnce the Blood Claws calm down a bit—and survive—they become Grey Hunters. These are your flexible, middle-ground troops. Lighter bolt carbines let them shoot on the move while they close in for the kill.

Think of them as the Swiss Army knife of Fenris. They’re not flashy, but they’re efficient, and the new models look like they’ve seen a few campaigns without losing their edge.

Wolf Guard Headtakers

Wolf Guard HeadtakersThis might be the flashiest new unit. Wolf Guard Headtakers are elite veterans who charge headfirst into danger, often with a snarling wolf by their side. They bring the heat in Terminator armor, and their look is pure Space Wolves energy.

Wolf Guard Battle Leader

Wolf Guard Battle LeaderHe’s got the vibe of a Lieutenant with the attitude of a pack leader. The Wolf Guard Battle Leader brings some serious tactical flexibility and plenty of style. Multiple loadout options mean you can tailor him to your playstyle—whether you need extra melee punch or buffs.

Warhammer 40k 2024 Roadmap: Wolf Priest

Wolf PriestForget the clean-cut Chaplains of other Chapters. Wolf Priests combine the roles of healer and spiritual guide while shouting saga quotes mid-fight through a skull-shaped helmet. They look intense—and that’s the point.

Codex: Space Wolves

Space wolves CodexThe updated Space Wolves Codex in the Army Set has everything: background lore, datasheets for 20 unique units, and some serious Fenrisian flavor. It’s the first place to get your hands on it, complete with exclusive art on the cover.

Death Guard New Lord of Poxes & Codex

Lord of PoxesWhen a Death Guard champion climbs high enough on the festering ladder of rank, they don’t just get a pat on the back—they adopt one of the Mantles of Corruption. These grim honors, Mortarion’s twisted brainchildren, embody different filthy flavors of warfare, complete with their own grotesque wargear.

You’ve probably already seen the Lords of Virulence and Contagion in action, but now the Lords of Poxes are here to join the party (and it looks like the leaks were true). Armed with a miasmic turbine (because why not?), these rusty contraptions of whirring blades and sputtering engines churn out clouds of airborne contagion to spread the love—or the plague.

Death Guard codexNurgle’s children are back with six disgusting detachments in the new Codex: Death Guard. Whether you’re building a slow-moving tide of plague or a more elite force centered around the Lord of Poxes, there’s plenty of variety packed in here.

Thousand Sons Deploy Sekhetar Robots & New Codex

Tzeentch New ModelsTzeentch has ditched subtlety for spectacle, introducing the Sekhetar Robots. These ancient machines are covered in spells and illusions, making them hard to pin down until it’s too late. Arcane weapons? Check. Hellfyre missiles? Absolutely.

Tzeentch CodexThe Codex: Thousand Sons includes rules for Flamers, Screamers, Pink Horrors, Blue Horrors, and of course, your favorite feathered chaos lords—Kairos Fateweaver and the Lord of Change. Five detachments offer flexibility, but the star of the show might just be those new robots. They’re flashy, deadly, and very on-brand.

Slaughterbound Arrives With New WE Codex

world eaters codexKhorne’s not subtle, and neither is the new Slaughterbound. Think Eightbound, but even more angry. This towering brute has let a full-on Bloodthirster shack up in his soul, because apparently, regular rage just wasn’t cutting it.

World Eaters slaughterboundThe new Codex: World Eaters is soaked in lore, blood, and rules. With daemonic units like Bloodletters and Bloodthirsters now integrated directly into the Codex, Khornate armies can field chaos demons and berserkers in one of five unique detachments. You want carnage? You got it.

Grey Knights Codex Update & Nemesis Dreadknight

Ah, the Grey Knights. The secret sauce of the Imperium. Psychic, shiny, and surprisingly chatty for demon-hunters.

The new Codex refresh includes updated profiles, lore updates, and a reworked Nemesis Dreadknight—complete with fresh weapon options like the Nemesis Flail and Nemesis Mace. These aren’t just cosmetic swaps. The Flail adds swingy crowd control, while the Mace is your go-to if you want to turn Greater Daemons into chaos puddles.

Warhammer 40k 2024 – 2025 Roadmap Armageddon Crusade Book

Crusade ArmageddonThe planet Armageddon has seen more wars than Forge World has recasts, and now it’s under siege from Angron himself. The new campaign book brings 43 pages of narrative meat—no filler, no fluff. Just good old-fashioned daemon-bashing, Grey Knights heroics, and desperate last stands.

Slaanesh’s Fabulous Flex: New Fulgrim Primarch Model

xmasreveal-dec25-pic1-fulgrim painted model by gw

Perhaps the most exciting—and most highly speculated—new release is Fulgrim, the Daemon Primarch of the Emperor’s Children.

Fans have been clamoring for a plastic Daemon Fulgrim model for years, and now Games Workshop has created what could be one of their most impressive models to date.

If there’s one thing Fulgrim knows, it’s how to make an entrance. When a Primarch decides to go full Daemon, you can bet it wouldn’t be subtle.

Lords Kakophonist: The Sonic Overload

Lords KakophonistNoise Marines are iconic, and the Lords Kakophonist amplify their chaos to deafening levels. Armed with sonic weaponry, these commanders orchestrate an audio-visual nightmare, turning sound into a weapon so powerful it can warp reality itself.

Warhammer 40k 2024 – 2025 Roadmap Flawless Blades: Melee Perfection

They’re the embodiment of what happens when vanity meets violence. Legion champions who fully embrace the excitement of close combat transform into Flawless Blades, a shadowy counterpart to the esteemed Palatine Blades of the Great Crusade.

Lucius the Eternal: A Duelist Like No Other

lucius the eternal revaled painted model lvo 2025

The name “Lucius the Eternal” sends chills through even the most hardened opponents. His cursed sword, the Blade of the Laer, is as deadly as his unyielding ego. Whether cutting down enemies or tormenting them with his grotesque whip, Lucius personifies the Emperor’s Children’s obsession with mastery in battle.

Emperor’s Children Codex & New Rules

Emperor's Children Codex

When assembling your Emperor’s Children army, from the new codex book, balance is key. Combine the raw melee power of Flawless Blades with the ranged devastation of Noise Marines to create a force that can adapt to any battlefield.

Limited Edition Emperor’s Children Codex

a picture of the collector edition new chaos limited edition Emperor's Children codexIf you’re a Warhammer 40K fan with a penchant for Chaos, things are about to get very interesting. The Emperor’s Children are making their grand entrance, and with them comes the final piece in the puzzle—each of the four Chaos Gods will now have their own Warhammer 40,000 Codex.

Looks like it’s time for some genuinely over-the-top, Chaos-infused editions of these books.

Emperor’s Children Combat Patrol

Emperor's Children Combat Patrol

The new 2025 Emperor’s Children Combat Patrol (aptly named The Callous Blade) packed 17 miniatures into a strike force that’s all about blitzing across the battlefield and shredding anything unlucky enough to stand in their way. If your enemies thought they could hold the line, they’re about to be proven very, very wrong.

Here is a contents list of what comes in the new Warhammer 40k Emperor’s Children Combat Patrol box:

  • 1x Lord Exultant
  • 10x Infractors
  • 6x Flawless Blades (2 boxes)

  • Lord Exultant: A charismatic commander to lead your forces.
  • Exclusive Emperor’s Children Codex Cover: A stunning collector’s item that’s as stylish as the models themselves.

Lords Exultant: Tactical Sadists

Lords ExultantThese leaders take sadism to the next level. With finely honed combat skills and a knack for crafting intricate battle plans, they wield both their weapons and minds with precision. If your style leans toward calculated cruelty, the Lords Exultant will feel right at home.

Noise Marines: Masters of Mayhem

Noise MarinesSonic blasters, screamer pistols, and blastmaster cannons—the Noise Marines are walking sound systems of destruction. Their updated miniatures are stunning, featuring intricate ornamentation and daemonic details that perfectly capture their aesthetic.

Infractors and Tormentors: Versatile Warriors

TormentorsThe line troops of the Emperor’s Children come in two flavors. Infractors are thrill-seeking close-combat experts, while Tormentors focus on ranged combat with their highly ornate boltguns. Both options let you tailor your army’s playstyle while keeping the Slaaneshi aesthetic front and center.

The lineup of the first Necromunda Releases has been leaked (on accident by Games Workshop). You can see them here, but they will be officially previewed soon…

Hagthor Jarlun and Aster Felsturn

a picture of the necromunda aster and hagthor miniatures

Necromunda is a dangerous place, and only the toughest survive. Hagthor Jarlun is one of the last Ironhead Squats from Jardlan, a survivor with a keen eye for opportunity and a practical approach to risk. He stumbled upon Aster Felsturn during one of his expeditions into Hive Secundus, watching in amazement as she fought off a dozen Brood Scum with little more than a jack wrench and sheer stubbornness.

Prophet of Redemption

A picture of the prophet miniature

The Aranthian Succession has left Necromunda in ruins. With Lord Helmawr barely clinging to life and Lady Haera clearing out the competition, the hive world is more unstable than ever. From the burning wreckage of Cinderak City steps the Prophet of the Redemption, a preacher with an eerie charisma and an unsettlingly effective relic.

His arrival isn’t just another gang fight waiting to happen—he’s an agent of change, a wildcard that can throw entire battle plans into disarray. Whether rallying House Cawdor, supporting the Crusading gangs, or lending his presence to Lady Credo’s rebellion, this is a character who forces enemies to think twice before taking a shot.

Sha’dar hunters: (Release Date March 29, 2025)

The Ash Wastes Sha’dar Hunters Nomads are staking their claim in the harshest environments imaginable. Now, if you’re looking to add some tactical flair—and a bit of venomous bite—to your gang warfare, these desert dwellers might just be your ticket to the ultimate gang showdown.

Weapons & Upgrades: (Release Date March 29, 2025)

ash wastes nomads upgradesThe Nomads’ gear is a mix of salvaged tech and organic horror. Their close-combat weapons, coated in venom, can incapacitate foes faster than you can say “game over.” For heavier engagements, the upcoming plastic weapons and upgrades kit brings more options to the table.

Arthromite Spinewyrms: (Release Date March 29, 2025)

ash wastes nomads creaturesIf the weapons weren’t scary enough, the Nomads also tame Arthromite Spinewyrms—massive mutant beasts with a penchant for destruction. These burrowing terrors can punch through dunes, rock, and even armor.

Tribes of the Wastelands Supplement: (Release Date March 29, 2025)

ash wastes nomads bookWith the release of Necromunda: Tribes of the Wastelands, the Ash Waste Nomads are leveling up in a big way. This expansion introduces:

  • Updated gang rules
  • New hired guns and Dramatis Personae
  • Themed scenarios for immersive battles

  • Mystical elements to enhance your gang’s flavor

Thatos Pattern Fortified Hab: (Release Date March 29, 2025)

Fortified Hub Module

With reinforced structures and safe observation posts, it’s perfect for holding your ground against raiders and storms alike.

Ruined Underhive Sector: (Release Date March 29, 2025)

Ruined Underhive Sector

If urban chaos is more your style, the Ruined Underhive Sector box offers everything you need to construct a twisted maze of wreckage. With 72 terrain pieces, you’ll have endless options for crafting the ultimate battleground.

Necrumnda Whisper Agent: Silberlant Sevos

Silberlant SevosDown in the depths of the hives, independent operators are the real power players in the rumor game. The most feared and respected of these is simply known as the Infotek—a former Van Saar ganger by the name of Silberlant Sevos.

Though his broken body’s bound to a suspensor chair, Sevos’ mind remains as lethal as any weapon in the underhive. In his old life, he had an ambitious dream: merging his consciousness with House Van Saar’s sacred STC, creating a synaptic link powerful enough to transcend mere mortal limits.

Aster Crohne

A picture of the Aster Crohne model

Aster Crohne has fought for the Blood Angels since before the coming of Sanguinius, rising from the violent warrior culture of Saiph. His survival instincts and unyielding nature made him an ideal Judiciar, ensuring discipline among the IX Legion’s warriors, even as the horrors of the Great Crusade tested their will.

Kaedes Nex

a picture of Kaedes Nex full miniature

The Horus Heresy is full of legendary warriors, but few are as infamous as Kaedes Nex, the Moritat-Prime of the Raven Guard. This grim figure is returning to the battlefield with a new Forge World resin miniature, bringing his lethal skills and dual Fulcrum hand cannons to life for Warhammer 30K players.

Ursarax Cohort

Usarax CohortThe Mechanicum never stops finding new ways to unleash devastation, and this time, they’ve cooked up something truly terrifying—the Ursarax Cohort. If you thought the Thallax were unsettling, these cybernetic wrecking balls take it a step further, swapping out long-range firepower for brutal, up-close destruction.

Angron Transfigured & Lotara

new angron and lotara

The World Eaters are getting some serious reinforcements for the Horus Heresy, and it’s safe to say these two characters are at the heart of their brutal legacy. Angron, now a fully warped instrument of the Blood God, and Lotara Sarrin, the iron-willed captain of The Conqueror, are stepping onto the battlefield in stunning new Forge World miniatures. Fire the Ursus Claws!

The New Krios Battle Tank

A picture of the painted Mechanicum Krios tankThe Krios Battle Tank is a different breed from the more commonly seen Predator or Sicaran tanks of the Legiones Astartes. Instead of heavy armor, the Krios relies on a web of energy shielding, giving it more maneuverability without sacrificing durability. This tank is all about keeping its massive centerline-mounted lightning cannon locked onto priority targets.

Karacnos Assault Tank: Heavy Armor & Devastating Payloads

A picture of the Mechanicum heavy support karacnos tankIf the Krios are built for mobility and precision, the Karacnos Assault Tank is all about overwhelming firepower. This machine is a variant of the Triarios Armored Conveyor, a transport known for its hermetically sealed armor that keeps its occupants protected from the horrors of war.

Instead of carrying troops, the Karacnos houses twin mortar batteries loaded with radiological warheads—ideal for wiping out organic threats ahead of the Mechanicum Heavy Support Force’s march.

Mechanicum Heavy Support Force Box Set: Released March 8th, 2025

A picture of the Mechanicum heavy support boxBoth of these tanks join forces with another heavy hitter in the upcoming Mechanicum Heavy Support Force box. This set includes the Thanatar Calix Siege-Automata, a walking behemoth known for obliterating enemy fortifications with brutal efficiency.

Overall, this box looks to give Mechanicum players a formidable selection of units that can form the backbone of a force or supplement an existing army with additional firepower.

Arcuitor Magisterium: Released March 8th, 2025

A picture of a painted Arcuitor Magisterium mini

The Arcuitor Magisterium is sure to be an exciting addition to any Mechanicum force! Whether you’re leading a purge against the Dark Mechanicum or making sure your allies stay on track, this character adds a delightful twist to the battlefield.

With rules found in Liber Mechanicum – Forces of the Omnissiah, this Forge World resin miniature could just be your next favorite strategic asset!

Secutarii Axiarch: Released March 8th, 2025

a picture of the secutarii axiarch mini

When Titans march into battle, they’re walking fortresses capable of obliterating anything in their path. But even these massive war machines have vulnerabilities. Infantry units with the right equipment can exploit weak points, and that’s where the Secutarii come in. This elite guard keeps the Titans safe, and at their head stands the Axiarch.

These commanders come from those who’ve already proven their worth in defending or salvaging Titans. After selection, they undergo extensive cybernetic enhancements, reshaping their bodies into something that’s as much machine as it is human. It’s all about crafting the perfect protector, and the result is both terrifying and impressive.

The Thanatar Calix Boots Up

Thanatar CalixThe Thanatar Calix isn’t here to cause chaos everywhere—it’s got a more refined taste for destruction. This big boy specializes in taking out the toughest targets on the battlefield, whether it’s a lumbering war machine or a stubborn fortification.

Its weapon of choice? A beefy Sollex-pattern heavy lascannon that makes other guns in its weight class look like toys. This beast can punch clean through the armor of a super-heavy tank and knock out its targeting systems with a nasty Shock Pulse, proving that precision and power can go hand in hand.

New Traitor Herald Consul: Released March 8th, 2025

a picture of the new Traitor HeraldEvery hero needs their foil, and that’s exactly what the Traitor Herald Consul is—a grim reflection of the Astartes Herald Consul. But don’t mistake him for just a simple villain. This character oozes dishonor, bearing the shame of his Legion alongside the mark of the Warmaster.

That’s right—the Eye of Horus is prominently displayed on this miniature, tying him firmly to the Traitor forces that carved their bloody path across the galaxy.

Loyalist Herald Consul: Released March 8th, 2025

A picture of the HH Loyalist Herald

Herald Consuls are way more than just fighters; they’re the go-to guys who have really earned their Primarchs’ respect. Bringing a Legion Standard into battle is not just a cool perk but also a big deal in the Horus Heresy. These banners not only get the troops fired up but also give everyone a clear focus when things get hectic, plus they represent what their Legion stands for. And hey, the Loyalist Herald Consul, made from Forge World resin, is dropping later this year!

Horus Heresy Traitor Overseer: Released March 8th, 2025

a picture of the painted horus heresy traitor overseer miniature

Overseers were experienced Space Marines promoted to manage mortal auxiliaries during the Horus Heresy. Loyalist Overseers were all about inspiring their troops, leading from the front with impressive power mauls and speeches that stirred the hearts of their human allies.

Traitor Overseers, on the other hand, took a much darker approach. These guys didn’t bother with speeches—they used fear. See all the details on the new preview here!

Legion Overseers: Released March 8th, 2025

Overseer

On the Great Crusade, the Legiones Astartes marched into battle alongside legions of Solar Auxilia and Imperial militia—human troops who, while giving it their all, simply couldn’t match the Emperor’s superhuman gold standard.

The latest Forge World resin miniature version spares no effort to show this off, with ornate trim, an imposing back banner, and even a choice of laurel-crowned helmets—whether you prefer the faceplate or the flowing locks look.

Iron Hands Legion Praetor: Released March 8th, 2025

Iron Hands PraetorIron Fathers, the elite commanders of the Iron Hands, are master artisans dedicated to creating ever-more efficient and destructive tools of war. For them, function triumphs over form—a philosophy passed down from the Gorgon himself—as they fuse flesh with machinery in their relentless quest for power.

Iron Warriors Warsmiths: Released March 8th, 2025

iron warriors warsmith

There are two awesome versions of this miniature. One is standing there, taking in the battlefield like he’s about to wage war on his own fortifications. The other version shows him moving forward with purpose, hammer in hand, ready to get to work.

Just a heads up, that second version will only be available at Warhammer World! These Iron Warriors Warsmiths are made from Forge World resin and will be up for grabs soon.

Caster of Runes: Legion Consul for the Space Wolves: Released March 8th, 2025

The Caster Of RunesThe Caster of Runes is a distinctive Legion Consul for the Space Wolves, channeling mysterious Fenrisian rituals to harness an ethereal power he steadfastly claims isn’t drawn from the Warp but from the primal heart of Fenris itself.

Decked out in armor and wargear inscribed with intricate runes and shamanistic relics, he embodies this belief with unshakable conviction. Looks like GW avoided their most memed Warhammer product and didnt give him the Doggo helmet head.

Krios Mechanicum Squadron

Mechanicum Legions Imperialis TankFast, deadly, and loaded with exotic weaponry, the Krios is the kind of tank that makes battlefield commanders rethink their entire strategy. This squadron box comes with six tanks, and you get to pick your weapon loadout. If you like a mobile strike force that can reposition quickly and still dish out serious punishment, these are for you.

Karacnos Mechanicum Assault Tank Squadron

The Karacnos Assault Tank doesn’t mess around. Designed to soften up biological targets before the main charge, this box comes with four tanks, each equipped with radiological mortar batteries—because why fight fair? If you like the idea of indirect firepower raining down on your enemies while keeping your tanks out of harm’s way, this squadron brings serious value to the table.

Knight Magaera & Styrix Kit

The New Legions Imperialis Knight Magaera & Styrix

This plastic set lets you build four Knights, choosing between the Magaera and the Styrix. Both come armed with the Hekaton siege claw for close combat, but their ranged weapons set them apart. The Magaera wields a lightning cannon, a Mechanicum staple that cuts through armor and elite infantry. The Styrix, on the other hand, brings a volkite chieorovile, designed to vaporize flesh and burn through energy shields.

Age of Sigmar: Sand and Bone

Spearhead Sand And BoneGames Workshop is pushing Spearhead with a fresh Gaming Pack called Sand and Bone, and it’s loaded with new missions, terrain rules, and four brand-new force boxes. Whether you’re looking to start something new or shake up your current game nights, this update is packed with stuff worth paying attention to.

Cities of Sigmar Spearhead

Spearhead Sand And Bone 3Think blackpowder, discipline, and very angry men with guns. Set these guys up in cover and let the lead fly. Ideal for players who love a gunline with personality—and some serious board control.

Seraphon Spearhead

Seraphon spearheadThis one’s for fans of speed and surgical strikes. High mobility and sneaky deployment options mean you can pick your fights. Great for hit-and-run players or folks who like a skink-sized headache for their opponent.

Ossiarch Bonereapers Spearhead

Ossiarch Bonereapers spearheadCompact but absolutely lethal. Not many models, but every one is a beatstick. These guys reward good positioning and punish sloppy movement. If you’re into durability and devastating counters, this is the one.

Ogor Mawtribes Spearhead

Ogor Mawtribes SpearheadThis is what happens when gnoblars and ogors spend too much time “tinkering.”

New General’s Handbook & Objective Markers

Generals Handbook 2025-26Spearhead’s off to Shyish, but Matched Play is packing its bags for Ghyran—where flowers bloom and heads roll. It’s time for the next General’s Handbook, and this one’s coming in a sleek new box. Inside, you’ll get the rulebook, battleplan cards, warscroll cards for Manifestations and their Spell Lores, plus six flexible objective mats so you can hit the table straight out of the gate.

Soulblight Manifestations & Terrain

soulblight gravelords faction terrain

The Soulblight Gravelords are introducing new features that improve their ability to control the battlefield and enhance their necromantic magic. The Cursed Sepulchres are key to this update. These structures act as centers for death magic, helping necromancers summon their Soulblight Gravelord troops more easily.

Each kit includes three mausoleum-like structures that can be set up in various ways, including an open-roof version. Plus, if you have a Nighthaunt army, you can also build these as the Nexus of Grief.

a picture of the soulblight chill grasp manifestation

Three powerful new spectral constructs join the Soulblight Gravelords:

  • Hand of Nagash- This spectral claw can slash enemies or freeze them in place, reducing their movement. It’s useful to stop threats before they can act.
  • Unholy Reliquary- This construct allows heroes to heal or boost their attacks. It helps keep important characters in the fight or increase the damage of strong warriors.
  • Sanguine Swarm- A swarm of vampiric bats that attack and drain the enemy’s vitality. The swarm has two parts that must stay close together, but they can attack separately, which can annoy your opponent.

These new features give Soulblight Gravelord players more options in battles. You can disrupt enemy movement, boost your heroes, or launch fast attacks with these constructs.

Blades of the Hollow King Box Brings these Vampires to Un-life!

Hollow king models banner

The Barrow Kingdoms are marching once more in this preview, but this time, they bring along some particularly well-known figures from Black Library fiction. Cado Ezechiar, the Hollow King, and his formidable allies step from the pages of Warhammer Age of Sigmar novels onto the battlefield, ready to carve a bloody path in the Mortal Realms.

The Barrow Guard

Barrow GuardThe Barrow Guard are the steadfast bodyguards of the Wight King. Loyal beyond death, they were buried with their ruler, armed and armored for eternal service. They can be equipped with either swords and shields or spears, making them versatile warriors.

Prince Vhordrai and the Revenant Dragon

Prince VhordraiLet’s talk about the star of the show, Prince Vhordrai. Cursed by Nagash himself, this vampire lord rides into battle on Shordemaire, a massive undead dragon that’s as terrifying as it is imposing (160 mm base, folks).

Vampire Lord on Nightmare Steed

Vampire Lord on Nightmare Steed

It looks like the rumors were true, and a new character is here to lead the Gravelords on the march in the Mortal Realms.

Battletome: Soulblight Gravelords

soulblight gravelords battletome 4th edition

It also introduces terrain features and manifestations to add flavor to your games.

Oh, and did we mention the four new battle regiments? These regiments, along with rules for armies of renown, will give your undead legions more strategic flexibility on the tabletop.

He’s not the type to lead from the back. Ashfield’s the kind of Freeguild Marshal who gets right into the thick of it, blade swinging and pistols blazing. But let’s not forget Squire Udo, the unsung hero of this duo.

While Ashfield might be front and center, rallying troops with a war cry, Udo’s back there mumbling to himself, lugging around every potion, unguent, and tincture you could imagine.

Grand Cathay Marches into Warhammer: The Old World

Cathay Old WorldSo, Games Workshop finally did it — Grand Cathay has stormed into Warhammer: The Old World with a battalion box full of dragons, jade-armored badasses, and artillery that literally breathes fire. Yeah, it’s that kind of energy.

Cathay Battalion Box

Cathay Old World BattalionGrand Cathay is the first all-new army built from the ground up for Warhammer: The Old World. This isn’t a resurrection of an old fan favorite — it’s a full-on introduction. We’re talking about immortal dragons, philosophical balance, and a war machine that looks like it came out of a mythical history book written by Sun Tzu after a few drinks.

The core box gives you 50 plastic miniatures that make up a fully playable, battle-ready force. Here’s what you’re working with:

  • 30 Jade Warriors (the backbone, built tough and stylish)
  • 10 Jade Lancers (heavily-armored cavalry with some real kick)
  • 2 Artillery Pieces (your choice of the Cathayan Grand Cannon or Fire Rain Rocket Battery)

Jade Warriors

Jade WarriorsMost core troops are built to die well. Jade Warriors? They’re built to hold the line with style. Clad in ornate armor and wielding halberds or sword-and-shield combos, these troops don’t just survive — they dig in and refuse to move.

Jade Lancers

Jade LancersFast cavalry that hits like a truck? Yes please. Jade Lancers are recruited from among the Jade Warriors — meaning they’re already seasoned before they even get their mount. These aren’t delicate flanking units. They were trained for close quarters in Cathay’s narrow alleyways and bridges, so when they hit the open field, they go full tilt.

Cathayan Grand Cannon & Fire Rain Rocket Battery

Cathayan Grand CannonNow we’re into the fun stuff — artillery. The Grand Cannon is your precision hitter, styled to look like a dragon and designed to ruin someone’s day. Then there’s the Fire Rain Rocket Battery — less accurate, more “watch the sky explode.”

Shugengan Lord on Great Spirit Longma

Shugengan LordCathay doesn’t just bring the muscle — it brings the magic. The Shugengan Lords are part-dragon commanders who wield martial arts and elemental sorcery in equal measure. Put one on the back of a Great Spirit Longma (think: flying beast with talons and antlers), and you’ve got a hero who can control the flow of battle and look majestic doing it.

Gate Masters

Gate MastersThe Gate Masters of the Celestial Cities are your tacticians, hardened vets who’ve earned command through a decade of defense. They see the battlefield like a chessboard — and they play to win. If you’re into precision positioning and battlefield control, these are your guys.

Sky Lanterns

Sky LanternsSky Lanterns are floating command centers powered by Vermilion Warbirds (which is such a Warhammer name). They hover above the battlefield, relaying orders, sniping targets, and dropping bombs on anyone who gets too close.

Cathayan Sentinels

Cathayan SentinelsNothing says “don’t mess with us” like a city guarded by giant statues that come to life when trouble shows up. Cathayan Sentinels are part statue, part magical WMD. They’re made from jade, terracotta, and even warpstone — each material giving them different abilities.

Miao Ying, the Storm Dragon

Miao YingHere’s the big name: Miao Ying. She’s not just a general — she’s a dragon. Literally. The eldest daughter of the Dragon Emperor, Miao Ying is both a deadly mage and a brutal combatant. She’s got centuries of experience, and now she’s left Cathay to clean up the mess in the Old World.

Miao YingHer model shifts between human and dragon form, and she leads with the calm rage of a storm about to break.

Cathay Arcane Journal

CathayIf you like your tabletop with a side of lore, the Arcane Journal: Armies of Grand Cathay has you covered. It’s 48 pages of background, rules, magic items, and the twin Lores of Yin and Yang — which aren’t just flavor, they actually impact your spellcasting strategy.

The Beastmen Brayherds Are Back

Beastmen BattalionThe Beastmen Brayherds Battalion is stomping its way out of the dark forests with a Battalion box that’s all about brute force and overwhelming numbers. Sixty-one miniatures in total — 30 Ungors, 30 Gors, and a Cygor or Ghorgon big enough to ruin anyone’s day.

Beastmen Old WorldsIf that wasn’t enough, there’s the Arcane Journal: Beastmen Brayherds, a 48-page guide loaded with lore, rules, two new Armies of Infamy (Wild Herds and Minotaur Blood Herds), spell lists, and special characters. It even breaks down their language because, apparently, grunting in Chaos dialects is a thing now.

Beastmen ResinAnd yep, returning plastic kits means your Gors, Ungors, Bestigors, and Minotaurs all get their time in the spotlight again. You also get those lovingly remastered resin monstrosities: Ghorgons, Cygors, Jabberslythes, and even the Preyton, which sounds like a fantasy Pokémon, but it’s actually horrifying.

Wood Elves Bring the Forest Fury

The new Wood Elf Realms Battalion gives you 62 miniatures: 32 Glade Guard, 20 Wild Rangers, 10 Wild Riders — all with alternate builds (Deepwood Scouts, Eternal Guard, Sisters of the Thorn).

Wood Elves Old World Arcane JournalThe Arcane Journal: Wood Elf Realms is your rulebook bible here. It’s basically the total package for anyone looking to get serious about building or refreshing a Warhammer Wood Elf army.

Beastmen Old Worlds 3Plastic or metal, these returns are loud. Araloth is back in plastic, leading the charge. Orion returns in metal, which feels just right — a forest god deserves a little weight. Alongside them, the usual suspects: Nobles on mounts, Mages, Waystalkers, Treemen, Warhawk Riders, and the still-dancing Wardancer Troupe.

There’s even a Beast Pack from 1987 lurking somewhere in the underbrush — four elves and their animal companions that have gone full cryptid and somehow avoided the camera.

Rumored New Wood Elves Nobles Minis Spotted

wood elves warhammer the old world leak What looks to be a leaked Warhammer Old World Wood Elves Noble pack sparks speculation: are they arriving before the Beastmen? Every so often, something appears online that makes the Warhammer community collectively do a double-take.

New Old Worlds Beastmen Bray Shaman

bray shamanDeep in the shadowy forests of the Old World, the Beastmen Brayherds skulk, twisted by Chaos and itching to tear down anything that’s remotely beautiful or civilized. They might be crude, but they’ve got their own dark traditions—and when Morghur the Shadowgave dropped a prophecy about a blind Beastman destined to help bring ruin to the world, they made sure to keep an eye on a certain squalling newborn. That little bundle of Chaos grew up to become Kralmaw, the Prophet of Ruin.

Kralmaw isn’t just your average Bray Shaman. He’s a master of bending the Winds of Magic to his will and earned his title thanks to the Chaos Gods blessing him with visions of the future—always disturbingly accurate.

With his prophetic powers, he rallied the Brayherds and unleashed them against the forces of Athel Loren, proving that even the wildest Beastmen have a knack for grand, destructive plans.

Sir Cecil Gastonne, The Wyrm Slayer: Released January 18th, 2025

A picture of a painted Sir Cecil Gastonn miniature

In the majestic lands of Bretonnia, noble lords and ladies take their roles as protectors of the realm very seriously. Sure, they could spend their days lounging in opulent castles and sipping fine wine, but that’s not their style. And when it comes to dragon-slaying, Sir Cecil Gastonne is the man for the job. Games Workshop finally unveiled his upcoming miniature and it looks great!

Unlike many Bretonnian lords who prefer the saddle, Sir Cecil is known for fighting on foot. This makes him a natural leader for regiments of Foot Knights, rallying his troops as horseback lords thunder across the battlefield. See all the details and rules in our coverage here!

Knights Panther, Harald Gemunsen: Released January 18th, 2025

tow-harald gemunsen reveal-dec16 painted model image

Remember that old-school Grand Master of the Knights Panther mini that was just leaked? Well, the new Harald Gemunsen figure definitely takes a page out of that classic book. And guess what? You’ll have the chance to snag the original (probably as MTO) when the Empire of Man range drops!

This guy pairs up with any valid Empire of Man army, but he really shines in the Knightly Order Army of Infamy, which lets you craft an army based around one of those legendary Knightly Orders. Plus, he’s made from Forge World resin and will be up for pre-order before you know it!

Empire Wizards: Released January 18th, 2025

Empire WizardsSpeaking of wizards, let’s check out these three magical misfits and their oddball sidekicks. First up is a Battle Wizard rocking Middenheim’s colors with a gnomish familiar that looks ready to burst under its own baggage. That whiff of Azyr magic? Definitely not subtle.

Empire Wizards 2Next, there’s the Elementalist with a toad assistant, channeling the wild vibes of Ghyran and Ghur. If “nature magic” had a poster child, this duo would be it.

Empire Wizards 3Last but not least, we’ve got a Necromancer. But don’t freak out—she’s one of the good ones, using the Wind of Death for the greater good. Her skeleton familiar might be a bit… vertically challenged, but hey, who’s judging?

Get ready to add a little arcane flair to your collection, these magical characters (and their quirky familiars) will hit the shelves in 2025, crafted from Forge World Resin and sold individually.

General Hans von Löwenhacke: Released January 18th 2025

Hans von LöwenhackeGeneral Hans von Löwenhacke has made a career out of marching to the beat of many different drums—sometimes all within the same lifetime. A seasoned tactician, he’s fought under nearly every major banner across the Empire, from Middenland to Osterlund, proving that loyalty to strategy often trumps loyalty to a single flag.

The lowdown on Nuln’s rules is coming your way in the upcoming Arcane Journal: Empire of Man. And if you’re looking to get your hands on the general, he’ll be strutting his stuff in Forge World resin

Frydaal The Chainmaker: Released January 18th, 2025

tow-frydaalchainmaker-nov25-image1-

Unleash some Chaos with Frydaal the Chainmaker, your go-to Exalted Champion for any Chaos army—she’s like the perfect accessory that goes with everything! She really hits her stride in the Wolves of the Sea Army of Infamy. You can check out her rules and the details for her raiding crew in the Arcane Journal: Warriors of Chaos. And guess what? She’ll soon be strutting her stuff in Forge World Resin.

Burlok Damminson Gets a New Resin Model For the Old World: Released January 18th 2025

Burlok DamminsonDwarf Engineers might just be the Old World’s top tinkerers, though they’re often stifled by the Engineering Guild’s obsession with “the old ways.” But every now and then, a young genius breaks the mold—and a few beards—by proving innovation is worth the risk. Case in point: Burlok Damminson.

This up-and-comer has pushed Dwarf engineering further than anyone thought possible, and his latest rendition, crafted in Forge World resin, is finally here.

Grand Cathay & Kislev Miniature Releases

When it comes to enjoying Fantasy Warhammer, it sometimes feels like the physical tabletop gets left in the dust. Games Workshop has released an update for those with the Shadows of Change DLC for Total War: Warhammer 3, discussing Grand Cathay and Kislev faction updates.

Unfortunately, they dropped a little reminder for Old World players, which may be a bit disappointing. In May 2020, Games Workshop released an update on Kislev for Warhammer the Old World, but we haven’t seen much since.
