Briar & Bone
Few gods in the Mortal Realms are as inextricably linked and vehemently opposed as Nagash and Alarielle. In Warcry: Briar and Bone, the endless war between Death and Life continues to rage between the Teratic Cohorts of the Ossiarch Bonereapers and the Twistweald of the Sylvaneth.
Nagash wants the technology in the Gnarlwood ruins but fears it falling into enemy hands. He sent the Teratic Cohorts to secure relics, eliminate rivals, and collect bone for investigation and personal gain.
Death battles the tormented Sylvaneth, cursed with arcane parasites from the Gnarlwood’s realm-shaper engines. Twistweald warriors seek Alarielle’s healing touch in the Everspring Swathe.
The box also contains the exclusive Warband Tome: Briar and Bone, which is a banquet of lore, illustrations, rules for both warbands and the Ravening Gnarloak, as well as quests, background tables, a shared campaign arc, and a new Battleplan Generator.
Pyre & Flood Box Set
Warcry: Pyre & Flood introduces two new warbands to the Ravening Ruin, the Ydrilan Riverblades and the Pyregheists. Elemental forces that are clashing over the fate of the Gnarlwood and all those who dwell within it.
These sorry souls are tasked with keeping the endless braziers of Nagashizzar alight, filling them with mortal flesh and soul-matter so they radiate deathly magic. These smouldering spirits are now congregating in the Gnarlwood, preparing to turn it into a blazing bonfire of necromantic energy, a funeral pyre burning in celebration of their merciless god.
These were one of the shrouded figures in the 2024 New Year’s preview, and they look pretty awesome!

Wintermaw
The new box contains absolutely everything a new player needs to get started with Warhammer Underworlds, and provides exciting new warbands and cards for current players. Two new warbands and four new Rivals decks are included, intended to be played out of the box with no fuss, alongside two new boards, plus a rulebook, dice, and tokens. But just who is unhinged enough to brave these wyrm-infested depths?
The Brethren of the Bolt are a fanatical sect of the Cults Unberogen who worship Sigmar in his aspect as the master of Azyr’s divine lightning. Each felt the undeniable call to holy action when struck by a bolt of lightning or scorched by the energy of a departing Stormcast Eternal.
Facing off against these zealots is an equally cracked cadre of court banqueteers, who range far and wide to find the most succulent delicacies for a royal feast. The obsessive ambitions of The Skinnerkin even keep them from taking more than a delicate nibble of those they butcher with rusting meat hooks and chipped cleavers – after all, such perfect cuts must be conserved for the tables at New Summercourt.

Jordans Make Their Way Into Blood Bowl With Jordell Freshbreeze!
This Elven legend runs rings around his opponents, dancing through defensive lines with ease and snatching the ball away before most players even realise they’re throwing empty air.
His prowess often has a violent effect on games, with matches devolving (further) into roving skirmishes as frustrated players forsake touchdowns to lay their hands on the pompous elf – though few have ever managed to so much as disturb a single hair on this Wood Elf Wardancer’s immaculate mohawk.
This model is pretty ridiculous and awesome! Who doesn’t want to run rings around their opponents? Especially in style!
Movement 8, alongside Agility 1+** lets him outmanoeuvre even the swiftest Gutter Runner. He adds Block, Dodge, Sidestep, Leap, and a winning smile to provide the complete linebreaking package.
Even if an enemy team has him locked down in a Gordian Knot of overlapping tackle zones Swift as the Breeze ensures that once per game he can choose to pass a single Dodge, Leap, or Rush test on a 2+, which is why he’s retained the Blink and You Missed It award for 318 years running!
He’s obviously super fast and can pass checks once on a 2+!
Geese & Badgers, This Gnomish Blood Bowl Team Has it ALL!
Games Workshop graduates from Silly Goose Academy with their new Blood Bowl Gnome Team, complete with Geese, Badgers, Treemen, and Foxes.
Rodney Roachbait, the Legendary Gnome Star Player
Rodney is a rather unorthodox player, even for a gnome. He chose to take to the pitch with the Altdorf Park Anglers in order to prove the big, loud and brash game of Blood Bowl was a cinch compared to the demanding sport of fishing.
Sadly, his first few games were a flop. After failing to net a single win, Rodney decided to stick with what he knows best, bringing his trusty fishing rod with him against the Merry Mootmen Halfling team and dazzling spectators with his artful angling skills. It was a victory for the Gnomes, and one he doesn’t half like to carp on about…

Kroot Carnivores
(Individual Release)
The backbone of any Kroot Hunting Pack is composed of Kroot Carnivores, skilled warriors with rustic equipment and savage countenance. With the new kit, Carnivores have several dynamic poses befitting their natural agility, and they come equipped with a tanglebomb launcher that adds explosive fire support to their Kroot rifle volleys.
New Kroot Characters
(Individual Release)
War Shapers are skilled warriors, and their primitive weapons are highly effective in their experienced hands. Be it the twirling melee prowess of the bladestave and prey-hook, or the ranged power of the dart-bow and tri-blade
Accompanying the War Shaper is the Flesh Shaper, who takes pride in guiding the carnivorous practices of their fellow Kroot and ensuring that only the finest genetic material makes it into their pack’s evolutionary heritage.
Krootox Rampagers & Krootox Rider
(Individual Release)
They will act as linebreakers and skirmish cavalry that range ahead of the wider Hunting Pack. With up to six in each unit, they’re a big pile of melee power to be charging around the battlefield. These will be a great option for Tau, as they can smash enemies off objectives with combat.
The Krootox, a hulking beast of a subspecies, makes a return as the iconic Kroot weapons platform. The new model is covered in ornaments, fetishes, and bangles to showcase their status as valued partners. It’s nice to see the more classic Krootox Rider return with another big gun!

New Ash Wastes Tease For Necromunda
Something sinister stirs in the badlands of Necromunda, far from the prying eyes of hive gangers and the infighting nobles whose clamour for power has set the ash wastes ablaze. While everyone watched the battle between Lady Haera Helmawr and the rebel Lady Credo with rapt attention, a far more malign presence began to make its first moves…
If you ask us, these could easily be the nobles coming down to fight for their resources, but GW didn’t say much this time around. However, they do mention Helmawr and Credo, so maybe we’ll be getting some hard-hitting reinforcements soon!
Delaque Bounty Hunter
The agents of House Delaque are feared for their stealth and subtlety, though no-one knows the source of their uncanny ability to communicate without sound or movement – the Psychoterica. This unknowable force grants strange powers bordering on the psychic to all Delaque exposed to it, and none show as great a connection to this mysterious energy as the infamous bounty hunter Yageloth, the Master of Whispers.
Unlike most of those touched by the Psychoterica, Yageloth is a full-blown psyker of awesome power, whose connection to the Silent Ones allows him to transcend the physical plane and become one with the shadows. He is a living embodiment of the force that connects all true Delaque, having gained his abilities on a foolhardy venture to the source of the Silent Ones’ whispers.

White Scars Hibou Khan Coming Soon to Horus Heresy!
Among the White Scars, who once teetered on the brink of turning against the Emperor, a contingent of Khans renounced their oaths to Jaghatai Khan and raised their banners for the Warmaster.
Among them was Hibou Khan, a Terran-born commander who had long rankled against the rising Chogorian influence after the Vth Legion were reunited with their Primarch.
Though most of the conspirators were killed, Hibou submitted himself to the Great Khan’s judgement and showed genuine contrition for his betrayal. In return, he was not executed immediately, and instead was condemned to live out his days as one of the Sagyar Mazan – honourless oathbreakers who sought atonement through suicidal raids on enemy strongpoints.
Eventually, his service led him to the Garmon Cluster and the Shattered Legions commanded by Shadrak Meduson. He would go on to deal a horrific wound to Horus Aximand at the Battle of Dwell, nearly severing the Traitor commander’s face, and reap a heavy tally against the Sons of Horus.
Having Rampage (2) on a key unit is quite strong, but he also lets you make more reactions in the movement phase, and when he dies, you get more reactions in the assault phase!
Adeptus Mechanicus Coming to Horus Heresy?
While plenty of Warhammer games have had new miniatures, books, and rules shown off today, our missives from the Age of Darkness have been mysteriously sparse. In fact, all we’ve managed to uncover from the ancient vaults is this cryptic video…
Well, if you ask us, this teaser points to Adeptus Mechanicus heading to Horus Heresy! With Solar Auxilia out of the way, it’s time for the priests of Mars to shine!
Bombard Horus With the New Plastic Solar Auxilia Basilisk & Medusa
GW promised more plastic Solar Auxilia for Horus Heresy, and they are delivering a new Basilisk and Medusa dual kit!
A New Light Sentinel Sprints into Horus Heresy: Solar Auxilia Hermes

Super-heavy Tanks Roll Into Legions Imperialis
With so many Titans and Imperial Knights stomping around in the Age of Darkness, the Solar Auxilia need the support of super-heavy firepower to put the god-engines in their place. Nowhere is this more evident than in Legions Imperialis, where the Adeptus Titanicus roam free and frequent – so it’s high-time to shrink down a titan-killer or two.
It is true; with so many titans and giant tanks in the Age of Darkness, you need something to take them out!
The Stormblade swaps Titan-cracking firepower for a more general-purpose plasma blastgun, which has double the rate of fire for only a slight reduction in power. Its excellent AP value makes it a shoe-in for melting tough vehicles and any Space Marine elites who stray inside its 20” range.
There are also plenty of smaller tanks and Space Marines, and this version is perfect for blasting through those as well.
More Drop Pods Descend Into Legions Imperialis!
It’s not just Space Marines that ride these meteoric transport systems though; larger variants exist to launch hulking Dreadnoughts right to the action.
Dreadnought Drop Pods shuttle your Contemptors, Leviathans, and Deredeos right where you need them. They can carry one Dreadnought – snugly in the case of the bulky Leviathan – allowing them to deep strike ahead of your main force, and take advantage of the enemy’s weakest flank.
Why walk your Dreadnoughts up the battlefield when you can drop them where you want them? Considering these will be battles of such a giant scale, dropping in four Dreadnoughts at once would just feel cool and totally change the sway of the battle!
We’ve seen one set of Drop Pods for the game, but more are on the way to ferry Dreadnoughts and shield generators into Legions Imperialis!
The Fast Attack Box Brings the Speed to Legions Imperialis!
Every Legion has a range of nippy units, and the Legion Fast Attack box is packed full of the bikes, jet bikes and speeders you need to leave opponents eating your dust.
This box features a collection of very fast things that hover and fast things that roll on wheels, because even in the far future of Warhammer, the greatest minds of the Imperium cannot reinvent the wheel.
Javelin and Proteus speeders are fast-moving weapon platforms which scoot around columns of tanks to fire on their exposed flanks or catch infantry squads unaware. The box can build four Javelin Land Speeders and four Proteus Land Speeders.
These look great in small form, and if you’ve always wanted to run legions of speeders and jet bikes, this box is going to be for you!
2 New Legions Imperialis Titan Battle Group Boxes Announced!
Entire maniples of Knights and Titans strode the myriad battlegrounds of the Age of Darkness, and soon you’ll be able to build up your own Legio or Household with two new box sets of titanic war machines for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Legions Imperialis.
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen big boxes available for Adeptus Titanicus, so these are a breath of fresh air!

Dwarfs Return to The Old World With a New King & Old Favs
Tons of miniatures are returning to Warhammer the Old World for the Dwarfs, along with a new king, a Slayer Lord, and Bugman!
Orc & Goblin Tribes Battalion
(Separate Releases)
This has plenty of Greenskins in it, and if you grab a couple of these, you’ll have over 60 Orcs! However, keep in mind, this is more like a Vanguard box, not like the Army Launch boxes we saw before, as these don’t have rules inside. Their rules will be in the Ravening Hordes book, and there will also be an Arcane Journal for more rules, lore, and such about the Orcs and Goblins!
Orc Shaman Ogdruz Swampdigga
There are two fabulous new models for the Orc and Goblin Tribes: a fearsome Black Orc Warboss brandishing a great weapon, and the deeply weird Orc Shaman Ogdruz Swampdigga – a new named character found in the Arcane Journal. Both are cast in Forge World resin.
There will be only two new characters this time, but we’re sure they will eventually get more. Just keep in mind that these will be resin.
Bretonnia: Men At Arms & Peasant Bowman
(Separate Releases)
Élisse Duchaard Model For Warhammer The Old World
Élisse Duchaard bears all the symbols of her station – a golden grail, flowing robes of finest silk, and a mystical glowing sceptre. Her unicorn mount Ariandir needs no saddle, but is wreathed with vines and flowers that tighten his rider’s bond with nature.
Invocation of the Elements- Tau Miniature: Warhammer Stores Exclusive 2024
This miniature, titled Invocation of the Elements, wears flowing robes inscribed with the icon of the Ethereal caste, while their staff is embellished with each of the other caste’s insignia. The jar they carry in their other hand emits a choice of four fumes themed after each element, while the model itself stands atop a ruined aquila – suggesting that the T’au are fighting on an Imperial world.
This new Ethereal caste miniature for Tau will stand out from your other Ethereals! If you play Tau, this will be a hard model to pass up for the new year.
Brakki of the Gilded Key- Fyreslayer Miniature: Warhammer Stores Exclusive 2024
This miniature is packed with detail, from the intricate key that gives the duardin his name to the raging flames atop his Latch-axe. It also features a beautiful cape fashioned from the scales and hide of a Magmadroth, and Brakki is sure to stand out on the battlefield when you use him in your Fyreslayer armies as an alternative Runesmiter.
If you need a dwarf with a key, GW has you covered in 2024! While not the most dynamically posed miniature, he should be a good addition to your army.
That’s it for now. If you’re still hungry for more, here’s the most up-to-date list of new Games Workshop bits from preview models we should watch out for in the subsequent previews for new releases.
Overall, the Games Workshop new releases roadmap promises a lot of exciting miniatures for Warhammer and 40k games in the coming months. With so much on the horizon, it’s hard not to be excited for what’s to come.
